The Barbara Barrington Jones Family Foundation supports and encourages self-esteem in teenage girls through their youth program Be The Best You Girls Camp. This camp seeks to motivate and help young women realize their full potential to lead more fulfilling and productive lives. The Foundation is also very involved in several philanthropic endeavors, which include and are not limited to: Primary Children's Hospital, UVU Enactus Program, Distiguished Young Women, AMAR Foundation, Thanksgiving Point, Ballet West, and UVU Wee Care Center.

History

 

The HBJ Foundation, now known as the Barbara Barrington Jones Family Foundation, was established in 1996 to enhance the quality of lives of individuals of all ages throughout the world. Philanthropist Harold R. Jones created the private foundation as a vehicle through which people could invest themselves meaningfully in the lives of others. Today, the legacy of the late Mr. Jones continues through his wife Barbara with the Barbara Barrington Jones Family Foundation. For the past several decades, Barbara’s philanthropic efforts have helped girls and women of all ages improve their life situations and have hope for their future.

For the past 20 years, the Barbara Barrington Jones Family Foundation has sponsored a self-esteem camp for teenage girls, Be the Best You Camp. This program includes 250 girls attending annually to participate in daily service projects and be inspired by speakers and Barbara’s daily devotionals. The Foundation previously sponsored two other programs : a women's retreat, A New You, as well as a student mentoring program at BYU Hawaii, The International Institute of Professional Protocol. In addition to these programs, the Foundation has funded countless scholarships for organizations around the world.

Over the years, Barbara and the Barbara Barrington Jones Family Foundation have supported and contributed to several organizations, programs, and companies around the world. Their gifts and donations have changed countless lives and inspired more to live a life of love and selfless service.
