BBY Service Projects
The wonderful thing that sets Be the Best You Camp apart from other youth camps are the DAILY service activities we participate in!
Boys & Girls ClubWe love throwing a party for hundreds of friends from Boys and Girls Clubs in the area! We have crafts, games, books, treats, and prizes for all invited. Our participants love facilitating the party and serving their new friends! | Local Care CentersWe love learning from those who have lived life much longer than most of us. Our participants are shuttled to several elderly care centers in the area to serve by singing, visiting, and being with these wonderful people. | Special Needs Princess PartyEvery year we invite girls and women ages 3+ for a FREE, fun princess-themed party with our participants. There are several fun games, treats, crafts, dancing, and even a special visit from some beloved princesses! | Thank Our VeteransEvery year during our opening ceremony for BBY Camp, we honor the great men and women who have and are currently serving our country. It is a wonderful opportunity for our BBY girls to see service in action, and how serving can bless so many lives including their own. | Heart Attacks of LoveWe love sharing appreciation for our speakers, guests, and staff at camp! |

Our participants learn the value of expressing gratitude daily, as well as helping those around us feel important, appreciated, and loved. | Primary Children's BlanketsOur participants enjoy tying blankets for the patients at Primary Children's Hospital. Every year we are able to donate at least 225 blankets! | Hospital BuddiesIn 2017, our participants had the opportunity to make and donate over 240 hospital buddy dolls to Primary Children's Hospital. These dolls are used by Child Life Specialists in helping patients learn about their diagnoses and procedures, while also calming fears and anxieties associated with life in the hospital. | Care PackagesThroughout the years our BBY girls have collected, organized, and donated hundreds of care packages to refugees, underprivileged children, and cancer patients undergoing treatments. | Sock PuppetsIn 2018, our participants had the opportunity to make sock puppets.
